As EDI practices become an expectation rather than a nice-to-have, many businesses falter at the implementation stage. Issues with getting started or seeing strategies through with success are common.

Bespoke Strategy Consultancy

FOR YOU IF:

  • You are unsure about where to start with EDI work or where to concentrate your eofforts

  • You have created an EDI strategy or collected data, but are not seeing results

  • You have collected EDI data, but are struggling to use this in creating effective change.

Our bespoke strategy consultancy service begins with a free 30-minute introductory call - a chance for us to get to know you, your business, and your needs, and for you to ask us as many questions as you need. We will discuss your goals, what you have implemented so far, and any areas you feel you need assistance with.

Next, we want to get to know your people better and analyse your EDI efforts so far. If you have recently collected EDI data, you can provide this to us, along with any surveys or feedback you have from your colleagues and employees. We recommend using our bespoke survey to gain a deeper understanding of where improvements can be made. This step is crucial for achieving a lasting impact. We do not do tick-box training. 

In the third step of the process, we prepare and deliver your bespoke programme. Combining the information gathered from our consultation call, data collection and survey, we create a programme that focuses on your specific needs. Whether you are struggling to recruit a diverse workforce, unsure how to support employee mental health needs, or want to better promote inclusion in your team, our plan will pinpoint specific goals and pave the way towards achieving them. We will deliver this plan in an official report with findings and recommendations, together with an information sheet to share with your colleagues, helping you communicate your EDI message and goals with your wider team. We will also suggest how we can work with you going forward to help you review your journey and maintain momentum.

  • You have implemented a successful EDI strategy and know where you need to concentrate your efforts. 

  • You know where knowledge gaps lie and need professional training to close them. 

Training Delivery

Once you have identified gaps in your EDI efforts, the next step can be daunting. How do we fill these gaps and achieve our goals? What training do we need to provide?

Diversity+ training sessions help you provide the right learning opportunities to reach your goals and close your EDI gaps. Examples of popular training sessions include: privilege, unconscious bias, cultural intelligence, recruitment and retention. All training sessions include delivery of professional training in your chosen topic to your team, a Diversity+ takeaway resource, and signposting to additional resources for further learning.

Event support

FOR YOU IF:

  • You want to host an EDI event, as part of your EDI efforts, but need support with event setup. 

  • You wish to engage Diversity+ founder, Naeema Yaqoob Sajid, as a speaker at an EDI event you are hosting.

Equity, diversity, and inclusion events are an excellent opportunity to improve EDI learning, encourage conversation, and showcase your support of EDI initiatives.

Calculator of Privilege

Privilege is a theme we find more organisations are affected by. Our individual journeys are heavily shaped by the opportunities available to us - and those that aren't - based on our privileges. A lack of understanding of the impact of privilege can develop and reinforce unconscious bias tendencies and lead to poor judgement and behaviour. 

 

The first step to overcoming the impact of privilege is understanding what privileges are most prominent within your workplace.  The Calculator of Privilege is a first-of-its-kind tool designed to help you learn and understand about privilege and its effect on your organisation, and is available as an add-on to any of our above packages.

 

We have a Scottish Legal Edition, specifically designed for firms and organisations in the Scottish legal sector, or our Lite Edition, applicable to organisations in any industry.
